Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan, located at the northern edge of the country near the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountain range.
The city features Soviet-era architecture along Chuy Avenue and a large central park near the Opera and Ballet Theatre. Winters here can be cold with snow, while summers often bring clear skies ideal for walking through the Oak Grove or visiting the Osh Bazaar.
